This video examines the representation of women in the Gears of War game franchise, with close attention to the proliferation of presentations of women in Gears of War 3 but the somewhat disingenuous representation of those same female figures. What does this say about the game culture? The hermetic culture of Triple A game studios? This documentary, narrated by myself, seeks to scratch the surface of the issue through close textual analysis while acting as a prolegomenon for a larger intervention.
