This video provides a demonstration on how to open a coconut safely. The type of coconut that I refer to is the young 'green' coconut. When it arrives on our shores it has been cleaned out of its protective husk, leaving a portion of the white inner husk as protection. Below that is the hard coconut shell, inside the shell is the white coconut flesh and coconut water.
