Backcountry skiing in Utah makes for an awesome day of leg burning, amazing views, and even better snow. As you drive up Little Cottonwood canyon up and arrive at Alta, look to the north and you’ll see the most powerful big mountain chutes in the world. You’ll see Mount Superior, Cardiff Peak, and Flagstaff Mountain. If you can time it just right you can enjoy nice south facing chutes on this epic mountain ridge.

This video showcases a quick ascent up Flagstaff mount to the Toledo bowl. The day was prefect and the snow was soft. Avalanche conditions were green and safe, so it made for a awesome day. The video was shot using the GoPro Hero 4 Black on the suggested video settings from Abe Kislevitz, GoPro’s media team. Here is the link to the settings and description abekislevitz.com/understanding.... I shot the video at 2.7K at 48 fps and edited it on Adobe create cloud Premiere Pro.
